Tips: travelling to Siena by train

What is the best way to reach the Siena's historical center travelling by train?

Keep in mind that the train station is located outside the center, a few miles far.
If you are not goodwalkersable to carry your bags up the hills, I suggest to take a taxi.

Taxis in few minutes get to the heart of the historic center, from streets that are not allowed to cars and bus. You'll get off at the Palazzo Masi's front-door paying about ten eurosand we'll also help you in bringing your luggage to your room.

If you want to take the bus insteadyou have to cross the square in front of the station and reach the opposite side: some signs will help you.Almost all buses reach the Piazza del Sale or Piazza Gramsci. From one of these stops you then have  to walk for about ten to fifteen minutes to reach the city's main square, Piazza del Campo. At the corner of the Tobacconist inside the square, starts Casato di Sotto street: revenue there and continue for 50 meters.You'll find Palazzo Masi to your left side at the number 29.
Now you have arrived in the heart of the historical center, and ready to start your holiday.

Living the Middle Ages in Siena's heart

How many times in your life have you slept in an eight-hundred-years old building right in Siena's heart? If you wanna make part of this beautiful medieval city, living not as a tourist but really as a sienese citizen, Palazzo Masi will be the right choice for you.Impossible to compare it with an hotel -it's not an hotel -: it's a genuine, real family-building, a special home that with his special atmosphere probably will fashinate you.
First of all, this is Palazzo Masi, the red building with the fachade on bricks, just off the main square Piazza del Campo, and the what you can find only few metres from it.

That's Piazza del Campo, the heart of the city. One of the most important squares all over the world, where the famous Palio is held twice a year. This gem is only few steps from our rooms.

At the corner of Palazzo Masi, just off the front-door, there's a stunning view: one of the best in the city.A lot of people during the day stop outside Palazzo Masi taking a picture, or painting:
Here's the romanic Servi's Cathedral, that you can admire both from La Staffa's and Lo Sperone's windows, and  the Wyatt Waters' artwork.Isn't it amazing? But this is just the beginning...stay tuned!
